Dignitaries (including Robert Hébras) leaving the Oradour Town Hall

The commemoration of the 65th anniversary of the massacre on Saturday 10th June 1944 was held on Wednesday 10th June 2009. It was attended by the French Prime Minister, who represented the government, many local public figures, such as the Mayor of Oradour-sur-Glane and Robert Hébras, one of only two living survivors from the Laudy barn. Hébras is the man leaving the Town Hall in the white jacket with a strap over his left shoulder and standing close to the man in the blue kepi. The other living survivor, Marcel Darthout, was ill and unable to attend in 2009.
