Speech in 2014 by the Mayor of Oradour Raymond Frugier

The Mayor of present day Oradour-sur-Glane, Raymond Frugier making his speech in 2014 about the 70th anniversary of the massacre and the need to remember. The French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls is standing with clasped hands to his right. Fortunately, all the children had been allowed to leave before the speeches started and the Colour Party and Guard of Honour were allowed to change their positions. The speeches were not overly long, about 10 to 15 minutes each followed by the laying of floral tributes on the steps of the Crypt (to the right of the gazebo) and a walk into the cemetery (the general public were excluded from this).
