This view shows the Beaulieu blacksmith's forge on the Rue Emile Desourteaux in Oradour, just out of view to the right is the doctors car on the Champ de Foire. About 25 corpses were recovered from here, including M. Guillaume Besson, a cloth merchant and one of only 52 identifiable bodies found in the whole village. It was on the street here that a group of cyclists (seemingly out for a ride and just visiting Oradour) were shot. Also see the photograph of the area to the left of this one and a middle distance view of the Forge and the Champ de Foire. See the village plan for location details.
