Memorial at Beaulieu
The memorial tablet on the north side of the bridge over the River Dordogne at Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne on the D940 (about 5 miles north of Bretenoux). The inscription reads, "The town of Beaulieu. Farewell to our friend Erich Justitz who fell here for liberty on 9th June 1944" The members of Das Reich involved were the same as at Bretenoux a short time before. © Michael Williams: revised November 2008
