Church spire at Cressensac

The church at Cressensac on the N20. The spire was hit by one of Das Reich's 75mm cannon shells during the brief battle to remove the Resistance fighters from the village. Today there is no visible trace remaining of the damage, at least on the outside. The memorial to the Resistance is about 50 metres to the rear of the photographer.
