The river Glane from the bridge
This view shows the River Glane from the bridge near to the old southern entrance to the village. As can be seen it was raining at the time and had been for some days previously, yet the river, whilst brown with sediment, was not flowing very quickly. This is a characteristic of the Glane, it is a quiet river, not very big and not at all an industrial river. The recreational area on the banks of the river is downstream (away from the photographer) in this view.
