The Passenger Tram Station in Oradour
The Passenger Tram Station in the Rue Emile Desourteaux. As can be seen the building is quite small, more of a trackside shelter from the weather than anything else. From this picture it is possible to get a feeling for the distances separating the buildings in the village and it can be seen that it would be quite impossible for fire to spread accidentally from another building to the Station (or vice versa). The remains of the roof which was fully covered with non-combustible tiles, indicates quite clearly that this building was set alight from within.
