Watermill near village entranceThis was the Oradour village watermill, powered by the slow running river Glane. The building to the left is the original southern entrance to the ruins and was built post-war, you can see the Souviens-Toi notice on the left of the main pedestrian entrance. The church is just visible through the trees on the left. As can be seen yet again, it would have been impossible for the village to have caught alight from a single source of ignition, the separation between buildings is too great. © Michael Williams: revised February 2004
